Webmasters note:

Patty passed away on January 13, 2003 due to the cancer's return.

In 2001 Patty was the very first member of our class that I had contacted via the internet. When talking to one another the idea was mentioned of creating a website dedicated to the 1978 graduating class of Erwin High School. It was finally decided to give it a shot and see what happened. I am in deep sorrow knowing that she will never see what the project will flourish into.

The following was posted by Patty on 2/6/2002. Not one word will ever be altered.

Seems like a long time ago since high school days. Lots of things have happened in my life since way back then. I graduated from Jefferson State Jr. College in 1981. Got married in 1982 and moved to North Carolina. I was blessed with two beautiful children, Kristin, who's now 16 and Alex, who's 12. I was a full time Mom for many years before deciding to continue my college education. My husband and I divorced in 1994. I'm now an interior designer and also enjoy volunteer work. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council, am involved in Relay for Life and also volunteer at the local hospital, which are only a few of the volunteer duties that I involve myself in. I'm also a cancer survivor (5 years). God has blessed me so much in my life. I feel very fortunate that life has given me enough bad times to really cherish the good times in life and realize how short and precious life truly is.
