I was, in a way, a member of this class. I attended Center Point Elementary in first grade, my best friend being Kandy Burford. Then my family moved to Blount County where I attended Blountsville Elementary, then J.B. Pennington High School, also in Blountsville. During my junior year, my family moved back to Center Point, where I was again a part of the E.B. Erwin Class of '78. My friends there at the time were Annette Ayers, Cheryl Berg,Lisa Rich,Ann Carr, and Susan Bennett. I was so shy and timid, it is a wonder that I made any friends. Annette Ayers is now Annette Bell and lives here in Blountsville, also. My family and I go to church with another Erwin alumi, Jay Morton, who finished 2 or 3 years behind me. Any way, to continue with my story, at the end of the 77/78 class year, my family moved on to Montgomery - and my parents let me move in with grandparents to finish up high school at Pennington. I graduated there in 1978. I did enjoy what little time me I had there at Erwin, and often wondered what my life would have been like had I been able to attend with this Erwin class from 1st grade through 12th. I am now happily married with 2 beautiful children, boy, age 17, and girl age 15. I would love to speak with Cheryl Berg if anyone knows of her location. I would enjoy catching up with her!
