• January 1992 to July 1998: Chaplain, Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage, AK. Serving as primary chaplain for Adolescent Mental Health Unit; the Pediatric Unit; and the Women's and Children's Center, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Also rotate responsibilities for emergency room traumas and deaths. During my time at Providence, I have conducted "healing circles", memorial services, weddings, and baptisms; developed an in-house newsletter; initiated a community grief support group for parents who have lost children; wrote a Community Benefits grant which helped fund and establish a community-based health clinic for Mountain View; have trained and supervised volunteers; have responded to community crises and requests for counselling support in the women's prison.
