Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas
April 2002

From Ft Lauderdale we flew on a small commuter to Abaco where we took a taxi to Aubury's ferry dock to board the ferry which took us to Hope Town, Elbow Cay. Upon arriving  at Hope Town marina on of the marina crew gave us a ride in an 18' Boston Whaler to West View, the cottage we rented for our stay. We had our rental boat delivered that day, a 21' center console with a Bimini top. This was our mode of transportation for the rest of our trip. Traveling from Cay to Cay in our rented boat checking out the villages and beaches on each island from Great Guana Cay to the north to Sandy Cay to the south. Had a really great time, definitely a vacation on the water.

Westview cottage on Elbow Cay were we stayed. One bedroom with a bath, kitchen, living room, wrap around deck, hot tub and private dock.

View of Westview cottage from the water. Good reason for a dock since you need to rent a boat to get around in the Cays. Froggie's dive shop, Hope Town, Abaco. Donna with her diving instructor Lambert Albury and his wife Teresa.
Sunset from our dock on Elbow Cay. The harbor on Great Guana Cay.
Two eagle rays (tails were about 20' long) swimming near the reef off Sandy Cay. Donna's last exercise to pass her open water diving test - the dreaded take off your mask underwater and put it back on test!
