Knob Hill Trail

The Knob Hill (Alascom Tower) Trail leads west from the Goober Lake trail and follows the base of the Chugach Mountains to the distinctive knob where Alascom has installed a communications tower.

From the Knob Hill a gravel road leads to the Glenn Highway where you cross the highway to the Chickaloon, Nelchina, and Knik trail system trailhead.

This trail section north of the highway follows the old portion of the Glenn Highway replace by the new section of highway in the fall of 1998.

By following the old highway you can reach Majestic Valley Lodge.
