Billy Creek Trail

The Trail takes off from Caribou Creek upstream from the confluence of Caribou Creek and Alfred Creek. Sometimes I've been able to enter Billy Creek by just heading upstream from it's confluence with Caribou. However, most of the time I've had to take a trail just upstream from the confluence that heads up a small ridge line and parallels Billy Creek. You can follow this trail back through some old mining claims before dropping down to the creek itself.

This is a really scenic trail worthy of some pictures. I've seen very few other people back in this area if any at all.

We've taken Billy Creek upstream all of the way to Limestone Gap and dropped down to Bubb Creek and also to the Little Nelchina river via a narrow cut (that usually looks avalanche prone) and back to Eureka via Monument.

The last few years we haven't been able to make if from Billy Creek to Limestone and Bubb Creek or the Little Nelchina, we've tried quite a few times from both directions and have hit dead ends every time. So something has changed in the headwaters of Billy Creek and Limestone Gap, just what we haven't figured out yet.
