| 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus, recently purchased from 2nd owner. Car has only 88,000 original miles and has been stored since 1978. Completely original except for engine and rims. Originally an HP383-4bbl, 727, 8.75" SG. Now has a 69 HP2 440+6 under the hood. Engine was built in 1978 and has only 3K on it. Runs well when warm, but cam is very lumpy and open headers don't help. Intake is Edelbrock aluminum CH6, bought from Direct Connection in 76 as a factory replacement piece. Ditto for the carbs. Included original owners manual and all documentation since purchased from original owner in 1976 with 84 K miles. Haven't found a build sheet yet, but fender tag is in good shape.
As you can see, no dents, dings or door marks. Has a cracked windshield and the paint on a small spot over the driver's rear wheelwell is flaked down to primer. Only rust is a quarter-sized hole at the bottom of the driver's front quarter panel in front of the door. Trunk is spotless. All trim, wheelwell chrome and pinstripes still intact. White vinyl canopy roof is still excellent. Can't grasp what the original owner could have been thinking when he installed a trailer hitch! Included in the deal was an NOS Hemi Steet Grind purple cam from Direct Connection, a '71 RR front end and disc brake setup w/sway bar, NOS Chrysler carb rebuilt kits for the 6 pack, and other assorted parts. |

| Will be starting restoration in the spring! Am still torn between building a RR clone and going original (you don't see many Sebring Plus'es). What are your thoughts? Iceman01@nospam.acsalaska.net (be sure to remove the nospam part in the address before sending) |
