3. Minutes: Corrections ? none

4.Treasurers Check-in: Alan reports that we have about $4600 in our account. The past few dances have been on the plus side. Alan has applied for the EIN, but we don't have it yet.

5. Membership Check in: Stan is not able to be here.

6. Webmaster tells all: Gary is updating the website for Dance Camp 2002. He has a link to Joe Pimentel's and Hillbillies From Mars' sites. He keeps his e-reminders short. Try to send him something more or less in shape to send out. He will send out one group notice for the Jan 19 dance, Jan 23 start of Ken's dance class , and Jan 25 Callers' Delight dance.

7. Dance master Check-in: Jim will get a door person for the Jan 25 Callers' Delight dance. He has door folks for all but two of the Spring dances. Numbers of dancers at the Dec 15 Tetrafiddles dance =65 and the Jan 4th =56.

8. Folk Dance Report: Marty reports that there were 6 at the Folk dance on Dec 15 and $24 forwarded to Contra Borealis plus the early contras $55, totalling $79. The Spring folk dance dates are Jan 19, Feb 16, March 16 and April 20, from 6:00-7:30 PM.

9. Special Events: Jan 25 Callers' Delight Dance: We had a short board meeting at the Jan 4 dance to OK the event. Frostfire will play and local callers will each call some challenging dances. Ken made up a flyer and has enclosed it with his notice to the membership list for his Ryan Community Schools dance class (Jan 23-March 13, Wed evenings 7-9 PM.) He charged the flyer printing of $13.75 to the CB Dateline Copies account. He paid the postage of $32.05. After the Jan 25 dance we will see if we want to do something similar on the reserved Feb 22.

March 22: This date may be available at the Hall. Ken would like to schedule an Spring Equinox event with an outside band. It falls on the last weekend of Spring Break. Alan will check last year's dance sheets to see how attendance was. Ken would like to split costs between Contra Borealis and the English Group. The schedule could be something like Friday night contra dance, Sat morning and afternoon music and dance (contra and English) workshops, Sat eve concert +/or English dance, and Sunday afternoon English dance and tea. Ken is checking with various muscians. He has checked into the Masonic Hall which is available for $100 /day plus evening. Artist-in- Residence in the schools (on Friday?) is another idea to pursue to help pay for the event.

10. Publicity Report: Barbara has posters up with the Spring schedule. She asked for and the board approved sponsorship of a Mid-Eastern dance event with her belly dance group. She will check with Isabelle and her group to come up with a time at the Hall.

11. Scheduler's Report: Susie did the Spring Schedule. Rosie Creek has no dance scheduled, as she was unable to contact Mike. She asked for board direction on how to handle the fall schedule. We will wait until we hear from Rosie Creek that they want to play before scheduling them, since they have cancelled so many times. Susie would like a newsletter to come out before the Jan 19 dance, since it is especially nice to get the schedule out at the beginning of the semester. She will contact Bill and Betty to see if they would be interested in calling for the Callers' Delight dance on Jan 25..

12. Corporation Report: Lynn is not able to be here. The lease negotiations for the Hall are not final yet.

13. Student Rep Report: Britton is not able to be here.

14. Newsletter Report: Todd is not able to be here.

15. Dance Camp North: Elaine is not able to be here.

16. Anything Else? Ken McFarland applied to the Noel Wien library to have an historic dance display in the main entry showcase for Sept 2002. He asked for and got board sponsorship for this project, since only groups may use that space (not individuals.) He will include a current contra dance poster and the website information as part of the display.
