3. Minutes: Corrections ? None
4.Treasurers Check-in: Alan says nothing new since last week. He can't find any number for the IRS non-profit registration. He found our employer identification number (EIN) for the IRS. He will try to contact Allison Carter +/or Dennis Rogers. Alan will reread the IRS stuff; he thinks we need to gross more than $25,000 in order to file, Bill Mudd thinks we need to file if we gross more than $5,000. Stan will bring a calculator for The Box.
5. Membership Check in: Stan has no new membership information.
6. Webmaster tells all: Gary is willing to continue as webmaster, generally succeeding in keeping information current. Folks seem to like the occasional email reminder of dances and notices.
7. Dance master Check-in: Jim is willing to continue as dancemaster.
8. Folk Dance Report: Folk dancers would like to continue dancing with the sponsorship of the Contra Borealis, probably once a month.
9.Special Events : Elaine Gross volunteered to work on ideas for special events. Thank you, Elaine! Sue suggested that Fall is a better time than Spring to plan them.
10. Publicity Report: Barbara would like ideas for posters. You can send her clip-art type things. Stan will make a poster for the in-town dance of Dance Camp (also including the summer dances) and Barbara will post it.
11. Corporation Report: Lynn attended the last Corporation meeting. We will need to renew the lease on the Alaskaland building, which may have important changes as it is rewritten.
12. Student Rep Report: Suzy and Britton are not able to be here.
13. Newsletter Report: Todd is not able to be here.
14. Scheduler's Report: Kathy submitted her formal resignation as scheduler. Thanks to Kathy for doing such a great job as our scheduler ! Welcome to Susie Hallinan as our new scheduler, she and Scott Darter will work together on it. (Since she teaches evenings, Scott will attend meetings.)
15. Dance Camp North 2001: The flyers for Dance Camp North 2001 are out. Sign up! Kathy is working with Stan on this years's Dance Camp, but we will be looking for new help for 2002.

3. Review and acceptance of minutes: okayed by all present. Marty has agreed to be the Secretary. Yeay!
4. a. Recognize and thank you to old and new Board members by Steve.
b. Annual brief comments/dreams: bands - organization and responsibility to play when signed up for that date, clean up help, Suzy Fenner wouldn’t mind if someone else took over.
5. Treasurer’s Report: $300 in bank, still assembling records and receipts - money will start coming in soon from dance camp.
6. Membership Report: about 165.
7. 2000/01 Dance Schedule: no news yet, possibly talk to band members at dance camp.
8. Dance Master’s Report: okay at this point.
9. Special Events: not here. Possibly have Winter Dance Camp end of February??? Betty said Wild Asparagus could be here the last weekend in January, so we will go with that if the space is available.
10. Publicity Report: okay for now, had a reminder to please notify Barbara of any changes in the schedule or the bands so she could notify the papers and such.
11. Corporation Report: need to pay $50.00 for Alaskaland Appreciation fund. Need a Corporation Rep - Sue will try to fill in for the Summer.
12. Webmaster: at the Anchorage Irish Music Fest. They've been notified their festival dates conflict with Contra Borealis annual meeting, as well as school, and have agreed to return the fest date to late May or early June, as it has been in previous years.
13. Student Rep Report: Suzy will continue to be student rep - do we still want to promote dances at the Wood Center or other places on Campus? Yes, and have a free dance in the Fall to start off the schedule and to promote memberships at the same time - try to do the third Saturday at the WC.
14. Newsletter Report: next one after dance camp and before the first dance of the Season - later, Todd Paris said he would be interested in taking it over. Yeay!
15. Dance Camp 2000: The next meeting is June 15th, we have a T-shirt design, we have a draft for the schedule, and a flyer has already gone out.
16. Cleanup for tonight? Try to announce it earlier.
17. Anything else? The Folk Dancers are getting more active and would like to do a dance 6/23 before the contradance. Okay unless problems arise.
