He will continue working on getting our Employee Identification Number (EIN.) Alan needs a new membership list from Stan.

8. Folk Dance Report: Marty reports that there were a record number of dancers (22!) at the dance on Oct 20 and $62 forwarded to Contra Borealis.

9. Special Events : Elaine agreed to let Ken McFarland take on the winter dance camp organizing. As a possible place, Ken contacted the Masons' Hall on 1st Ave. Their rental fee is $100 for a 24 hour day. Ken also talked to the Community Schools about a dance session, but they have more instructors than dance space to offer, so he will check into the old U Park school by contacting Cooperative Extension. Ken and Lynn are working on an idea with Bill and Betty to offer a combined English country and Squares night for our contra on Feb 1, 2002.

Alaskaland 20th Anniversary Dance: This happens Friday Nov 30. Elaine is working with Bill Mudd on our part in it. Lynn will call and find musicians for our 30 minute (?) section. This will be a dressy event with dance cards for the ladies, finger foods, sparkling cider for toasts, local dignitaries, and $10 tickets.

10. Publicity Report: Barbara is not able to attend Monday meetings. She had let Isabelle know about our dance on Nov 2, and Isabelle passed the word on, but folks at the News-Miner missed it.

11. Scheduler's Report: Susie and Scott are not able to be here.

12. Corporation Report: Nov 15 is the next Corporation meeting. Marty will ask Gary to put out an webpage call for Contra Carpenter volunteers for the hall repairs. Semi-annual hall Cleanup Day is Dec 1, from 9-noon.

13. Student Rep Report: Britton is not able to be here.

14. Newsletter Report: Todd is not able to be here.

15. Dance Camp North: Elaine has checked into bands and Hillbillies from Mars can come, with TJ if Paul can't come. They will charge us $400 each plus airfare for Camp. She is still looking for a caller, since Lisa Greenleaf is unavailable.

16. Survey Ideas: Sue still has the surveys and will compile them and send it on to Todd.

17. Anything Else? Lynn was asked by the Girl Scouts if Contra Borealis would sponsor a contra dance for them at the Hall. The board approved it. Lynn will call for it and organize the band and the Scouts will pay the hall fee.

Meeting adjourned at 6:10 PM.
