An Alaskan certified public accountant (CPA) has received as a minimum, a bachelors degree from an accredited university, passed a rigorous national examination and performed two years of internship. In addition, they complete annual continuing professional education requirements as required by the Alaska Board of Accountancy. Most CPA firms undergo a peer review every three years.

Schneider & Shilling, CPA’s LLC was formed in 2000 by Melody Schneider and Cindy Shilling.
Melody Schneider
graduated from UAF in 1992 and worked for FM Strand, CPAs in Anchorage,
specializing in Construction Accounting until joining Cindy Shilling at
Robinson, Enerson and Shilling in 1996.
Cindy Shilling
graduated from UAF in 1983 and worked for Cook & Haugeberg,
CPAs and Pacific Movers prior to joining Melody at Robinson, Enerson and Shilling in 1996.
Ben Shilling
graduated from UAF in 1985, and worked for Cook & Haugeberg
CPAs until becoming the Director of Internal Audit at the University of Alaska
in 1993. Ben joined Schneider &
Shilling in the fall of 2002.
