So... I was walking along the street minding my own business when this
beautiful
girl comes up
to me and says: "Hey, I can tell by your clothes that you are a local
boy,
you wanna help us carry
the shrine?"

The parade was through 'Old Town' in Chiang Mai. Many floats were so
large men with poles accompanied them to lift the overhead electric
wires high enough that the floats could pass under them.

I am sitting here with my friends, Ari,
Takayuki-san and Kumako-san discussing philosophy and the state of the
world in a small izakaya in downtown Osaka. You understand our faces
are a bit red only due to the importance of the subjects we were
discussing, -not from drinking sake, beer and shochu, oh no...
Ah yes.. on Shikoku Island, I continue discussing philosophy with my
friend, Tanuki. He and I are in complete agreement.
