Athabascan Trapper & Sourdough Hats

 

The two types of fur hats that we design are the Trapper Hat and the Sourdough Hat. These hats are extremely popular especially for most outdoor activities. The trapper hat uses both velvet and fur for the outside shell. The Sourdough hat has an overall fur appearance on the outside shell. Both hats have an inner shell of 12-ounce Jencelite. These hats are usually made of marten, fox, beaver or otter. Beaver and otter are utilitarian in nature. They can be sheared to give a smoother mink-like appearance. Fox and marten while also warm are more fashionable and usually worn when 'going to town.'

Each hat is custom-sized and fitted. Every product is uniquely made.
